Spring presents

Long time no hear, everyone. Since I moved to Massachusetts from Ukraine, where the weather is almost the same, I've noticed one thing. Every year, at the end of the season, there is 2-3 week period, of temperature extremum, which is really hard to get through. When you're tired of cold/hot weather, and you're just living the life, waiting for weather change, no wanting to do anything. Especially not to your car, when you fingers freezing or you just can't breathe.

So, once the cold weather eased up, I decided it was a time to treat the Giulia with new add-ons. First thing first: I hate cleaning the "OEM" rubber floor mats with high sides. They have this honeycomb pattern, which is hard to clean with a towel, even though they're perfect for winter conditions.

Therefore for summer season I decided to change these floor mats to OEM with red line accent. Part number: 50547106.

These floor mats are much easier to clean - perfect for dry weather. The red line perfectly matches to the same red line, which I added to the trunk floor mat and the red start button on the steering wheel.

Another flaw we all know is lack of wireless Android Auto support in our cars. I wanted to resolve this issue since 2021, when I got my black Giulia in Ukraine. However, I decided to add a bit of comfort only now, when I upgraded my old OnePlus 7T phone to OnePlus 10 Pro, which has wireless charging.

So, I purchased Motorola MA1 adapter, which perfectly fits in the storage box. It's hidden, feels like OEM solution and truly plug-and-play.

Love how these small things changed daily driving experience. Even though the Alfa Romeo Giulia is not a perfect family car it still has some room for improvements. Thanks to everyone for reading this. Stay safe and love your cars!
