Once registered on this website, I received a message from Richo8657 with a long list of additions, that I might be interested in adding into my car. Thank you for that. That's the power of the Alfisti community. And now I'm slowly going my way through that list.
Start/Stop System De-activator
This item was on that list. Although I initially didn't want to use it, since I had no issue deactivating the Start/Stop system at the start, finally I decided to give this a try. Especially considering the price and the fact that when installed it doesn't affect the "OEM-ness" of the car.
The installation is seamless. Using the plastic pry tools, pull out the switch assembly, disconnect previous wire and connect the new one through this adapter. Done. The cost of this adapter on AliExpress is only $13. It's definitely worth it for one less button click during startup.
Safety belts felt lined stickers
God knows why this simple thing isn't applied by default at the Alfa Romeo factory. In Volkswagen, the safety belt buckle is wrapped into felt lining. In my previous Kia Forte, the buckle was not wrapped, but a felt-lined sticker was applied to it. So, I decided to do the same on the Giulia, even though I had no rattling sounds from this spot. These stickers cost less than $2 on AliExpress, are easy to apply, and feel OEM-like. Perfect.
Locking wheel bolts kit
This wasn't on Richo8657's list, but that was on Alfa Romeo Giulia One's list. I purchased this kit back in 2021 in Ukraine for that car. I wanted to have the same 19" rims I have now on my "Brilliant", but in black. And of course, I wanted to protect them with the OEM locking bolts. However, life changed drastically, and these bolts had to wait for 3 years to be installed on a new Alfa Romeo Giulia. The part number of this kit is:
Now my bright silver rims are protected, and finally, one of the niches under the trunk floor is filled with something useful. Hope these small additions could be helpful for someone. Thanks to everyone for reading this. Stay safe and love your cars!
