A week ago, power steering pump said goodbye to me and then dead. ED was towed to the garage (fortunately it was not far away). Next removal of pump showed that the wall on pump cracked and shattered into pieces.

Did not find it immediately, despite the large number of Toyota S-series engines in Odessa. There were several pumps from 3S engines in the price range from $70 to $130. Eventually was founded pump from Toyota Camry/Vista V10 with 1S engine (with a claimed mileage of 225000 km, probably).

Pump changing on transverse engine it's a difficult task, but it real. Unfortunally, in changing process we turned out that there are four bolts on new pump's side, because of which the pump now can't fit back, because old pump went through.

To do this, we have to remove the drive shaft. So far, the replacement has been delayed by a couple of days.
